Why I can’t see the tabbar on the new ribbon interface based Microsoft Excel 2007 when I open a workbook after install this excel software?
You can try the following ways to work it well.
(1) Firstly inspect your “Display the tabbar” menu item checked or not. If you are using Microsoft Office Excel 2007, please inspect OfficeTab Add-in checked or not in the dialogue box of the COM add-in of the application.
(2) Make sure the Microsoft Office you use is not the compact version, as some compact versions cannot support COM add-in.
(3) Click “Macro Safety” button of the Safety label in the dialogue box for Exceltab options, the Safety dialogue box pops up, and then inspect “Trust all installed add-ins and model” checked or not in the “Reliable Publisher” label, if not, check it.
(4) Click “Disable item” button through About Dialogue Box of the application, and check OfficeTab add-in disabled in the Disable item dialogue box.
(5) As the information of the tabbar like the position, subject and many more, is recorded in the registry at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\ExcelTab", please check if your antivirus software prevents the R/W or monitors this add-in.
(6) Open registry editor and locate to “MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\ExcelTab.ExcelTabv2”, and then compare with the following pictures to see the difference. Especially check whether the value of LoadBehavior Key is 3, if not, change the value.
WordTab and PowerPointTab works the same way.
Actually, this problem does not exist in the latest version of this excel software. The simple way is to uninstall the original version, re-download and reinstall the latest version of Workbook Tabs for Excel, which works with your Microsoft Excel.
