How to indicat modified excel workbooks, lock and rename worksheet on excel ribbon tab bar?

♦   Indicate modified microsoft excel worksheets

No matter at home or in office using excel, we often make lots of excel data changes. Sometimes it is a word, an excel date, or excel formulas, but it could be the whole worksheet data sometimes. Opening multiple excel spreadsheets in the meantime, you may forget or find it difficult to tells which worksheets has been modified, which excel spreadsheet data has not yet changed. Don't worry!

♦  Lock worksheets in Microsoft Excel

Not only Workbook Tabs for Excel identifies modified worksheets, but also locks any sheets in Microsoft Office Excel.

You can lock excel sheets by right clicking on the worksheet tab you want to lock and selecting the "Lock Workbook" item from the drop-down menu. The locked excel worksheets can not be closed or saved even if you click the Close button by mistake.

When you lock an excel spreadsheet, there will be a lock icon before its name on the excel tab. If you want to close or save this worksheet, you can cancel this excel function just by clicking the "Lock Workbook" Item again, and then the lock icon is gone and you can close or save this worksheet now.

♦  Rename excel workbook on excel tab bar

To rename an excel sheet, we usually choose the "Save As" button or "Rename" command in Microsoft Office Excel using excel menus. Now having Workbook Tabs for Excel, you get another option to rename your worksheets. Right Click the related excel tab and select the "Rename" item from the Tab pop-up menu, in this way, Rename excel worksheet can be available on the excel tab bar in Microsoft Excel 2003, Excel 2007 and Excel 2010.
