Quickly export or save a range as CSV, HTML and Workbook in Excel 2007/2010

Normally, Excel does not support you with an option to quickly export or save a range as CSV or Excel Workbook file, if you want to save a range of data as CSV or workbook, you may need to use Macro for doing this, or copy the range to clipboard and paste it in a new workbook and then save the workbook as CSV or Workbook. Kutools for Excel augments Excel with Export Range to File tool for you to quickly process the following operations: Demo

Export or save a range as a new Excel workbook;
Export or save a range as text file CSV (with values separated by a comma);
Export or save a range as html (simple or complex html).

Click "Kutools">>"Import/Export">>"Export Range to File". See screenshots (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2).

Usage:

Select a range to export;
Click Export Range to File, and select the exported file format under File format;
Click OK, specify the location and name in the Save dialog box, and then click Save button.

Note: With Export Range to file, the exported files can be automatically opened by checking the checkbox Open the file after exporting the data.

There are four file formats available to export the selected range:

File Format 1: Excel Workbook

Convert formulas to values Option: The formula in the selected range will be converted to a constant in the new workbook.

Preserve formatting Option: All cell formats in the selected range will be kept, such as the background color, bold italic, font, etc.

File Format 2: CSV File

Save the actual value Option: The exported file will keep the actual value in selection, neglecting the digital formats in the range.

Save the value as shown on screen Option: If you export the range as a text file and you select the Save values as shown onscreen option the values may lose precision if the cells are not formatted to display all decimal places.

File Format 3: Simple HTML

The simple HTML file is exported with grid lines, and the following options can be reserved in the exported file: background color, font name, font size, font color, bold italic, column widths and horizontal alignment.

File Format 4: Complex HTML

The Complex HTML is advanced in keeping all formats of the selected range in the exported file, and allows you to enter a title for the HTML.
