Add documents to document group in Word 2007/2010
We add some web pages into Favorite of IE/Firefox browser, so that we can revisit them later without remembering their addresses. In Microsoft Word, we may also open some documents repeatedly. However, there is no similar favorite tool in Word. Kutools for Word's Favorite tool designed to meet this requirement. With this tool, we can add documents into document groups, so we can easily reopen them by categories.
- Add current document into document groups
- Open all documents of one group with one click
- Directly open a document by clicking on the document in a group
Click the "Kutools" >> "Favorite" >> "Add to Document Group". See screenshot (Fig.1)

Add current document into document group
After clicking Add to Document Group option, the Add to Document Group dialog box will be opened. Within it, we can add current document to a new or existing document group.
If we want to add current document to an existing group, just select a document group from the drop down box of Document Group, and click OK to finish adding;
If we want to add current document to a new group, we need to create a new document group with clicking New button.

Open all documents of one group with one click
If you have created document groups, these document groups will be listed in the drop down menu of Favorite button. Just clicking a document group, all documents in this document group will be opened at the same time.
For example, I created two document groups: Reference about Kutools for Word group and Kutools for Word features group. Then click the Favorite button, you will view these two document groups listing in the drop down menu, and click the Reference about Kutools for Word group, three documents added in this grouped will be opened at one time.

Directly open a document by clicking on the document in a group
Apart from opening all documents of one document group together, this Favorite tool will help us reopen single document directly without going to folders location in explorer for opening the document.
Just click the Favorites button, move mouse over the group name that contains the document you want to open, and click the document, then you will see this document is opened in Word.
