Quickly change sign of numbers in Excel

Click Kutools >> Content >> Change Sign of Values. See screenshots:

Fix trailing negative signs

Supposing I have a range of numbers which contain negative signs on the right of them, and now I want to put the negative signs from the right of numbers to the left. I can quickly finish it as follows:

1. Select the cells or ranges you want to fix trailing negative signs.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Content > Change Sign of Values, and in the Change Sign of Values dialog box, select Fix trailing negative signs option, see screenshot:

3. Then click OK or Apply, all the trailing negative signs have been moved from the right of numbers to the left.

Change all negative values to positive

If you want to change the negative numbers to positive numbers easily and quickly, this tool also can help you.

1. Select the range that you want to change.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Content > Change Sign of Values, and in the Change Sign of Values dialog box, select Change all negative values to positive option, see screenshot:

3. Then click OK or Apply, all the selected negative numbers have been changed to positive numbers.

Change all positive values to negative

With this tool, you can change all positive numbers to negative numbers as well.

1. Select the range that you want to change.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Content > Change Sign of Values, and in the Change Sign of Values dialog box, select Change all positive values to negative option, see screenshot:

3. Then click Ok or Apply, all the selected positive numbers have been converted to negative numbers.

Reverse the sign of all values

Supposing you have a range of data which have negative numbers and positive numbers, and now you want to reverse the sign of the values, it means to make all positive values to negative, and all negative values to positive. You can solve this problem as follows:

1. Select the range that you want to change.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Content > Change Sign of Values, and in the Change Sign of Values dialog box, select Reverse the sign of all values option, see screenshot:

3. Then click OK or Apply, all the signs of the selected values have been reversed.

Change all negative values to zeros

Sometimes, you need to change the negative numbers to zeros, with this utility, you can quickly finish it.

1. Select the range that you want to change.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Content > Change Sign of Values, and in the Change Sign of Values dialog box, select Change all negative value to zero option, see screenshot:

3. Then click OK or Apply, the negative numbers in the selection have been converted to zeros.

Notes:

1. This function supports Undo.

2. If the selection contains formulas cells, this feature will ask for your confirmation to remove formulas or ignore as following screenshot shown:
