Excel does not support with a quick way to convert currency. When you need to convert a range of data from one currency to another, you may need to use other currency conversion tools or search the currency exchange rate to convert currency in Excel. But with Kutools for Excel's Currency Conversion, you can easily get the latest currency exchange rate from reliable source and apply the following operation in Excel:
- Convert currency and overwrite the original values
- Convert currency and insert as comments
- Convert currency and both overwrite the original values and insert as comments

Convert USD to EURO
1. Please select a range of data which you want to convert to EURO as follows, and then apply this utility (Click Kutools > Content > Currency Conversion in narrow mode, or click Kutools > Conversion > Currency Conversion in wide mode based on your toolbar mode).
2. In the Currency Conversion dialog box, specify the currencies that you want to convert, and click Update rate to get the latest exchange rate. (If you cannot update the exchange rate, please make sure your Internet connection is OK, and then go to download and install the latest version of Kutools for Excel from our website.)
3. Click Fill options button to get into the Fill Options dialog box. Choose one output type, and specify a decimal place for the output values by checking the Decimal place box and enter the decimal place number into the textbox. then close the dialog see screenshot:
4. After specifying the output type, click OK or Apply button, you will get the following results:
Convert USD to GBP
1. Please select a range of data which you want to convert to GBP as follows, and then apply the utility (Click Kutools > Content > Currency Conversion in narrow mode, or click Kutools > Conversion > Currency Conversion in wide mode based on your toolbar mode).
2. In the Currency Conversion dialog box, specify the currencies that you want to convert, and click Update rate to get the latest exchange rate. (If you cannot update the exchange rate, please make sure your Internet connection is OK, and then go to download and install the latest version of Kutools for Excel from our website.)
3. Click Fill options button to get into the Fill Options dialog box. Choose one output type, and specify a decimal place for the output values by checking the Decimal place box and enter the decimal place number into the textbox. then close the dialog see screenshot:
4. After specifying the output type, click OK or Apply button, you will get the following results:
Notes:
- 1. You can press Undo (Ctrl+Z) to restore this operation immediately.
- 2. Your used currencies will be kept, and you can click the drop down list to quickly select and convert them when you want to use it next time. See screenshot:
- 3. If you want to enter your own currency rate to calculate the result, you just need to double click the rate at the bottom left corner in the Currency Conversion dialog, and then type the currency rate directly as you need.
