How to remove divide by zero errors (#DIV/0!) in Excel?

For example, we need to calculate the average price for each fruit by the formula of =D2/(C2-B2) as below screen shot shown. However, #DIV/0! errors come out when the value in Q2 column is equal to the value in Q1 column. So how to prevent or delete these divided by zero errors? There are several methods to get it done.

Prevent divide by zero errors (#DIV/0!) with modifying formulas

The formula of =D2/(C2-B2) will return the #DIV!/0 error if Cell C2 is equal to Cell B2. So we can estimate this formula with the IFERROR function to avoid the #DIV/0! error. You can do as follows:

In the Cell E2 enter the formula =IFERROR(D2/(C2-B2),""), and then drag the Fill Handle to the Range E2:E15.

Then you will see the #DIV/0! errors are prevented and shown as blank. See below screen shot:

Note: In this example we apply the formula of =IFERROR(D2/(C2-B2),"") to prevent the #DIV/0! errors. But different conditions require different formulas, and it may be complicated to prevent the #DIV/0! errors by formulas. Therefore, we introduce the following methods to remove #DIV/0! errors.

Kutools seems like a great product - however due to my business restrictions I'm not allowed to utilize it. If anyone is in a similar boat, I found a similar alternative method with the standard Excel tools:
1. Select range of cells you would like to remove all errors within.
2. In the home banner, under the 'Editing' section, click the 'Find & Select' dropdown.
3. Choose 'Go To Special'
4. Select the bubble 'Formulas' and deselect all the checkboxes expect 'Errors'. Hit okay
5. All the cells in the range where there were formula errors will now be highlighted. Remove them by hitting the delete key.

Hope this helps! - JP
