Split one cell contents into columns by delimiter with Text to Columns
In Excel, there is a function called Text to Columns can do you a favor on this problem.
1. Select the cells you want to split, and click Data > Text to Columns. See screenshot:
2. In the step 1 of the Text to Columns wizard, check Delimited option, and click Next to go on. See screenshot:
3. In step 2 of the wizard, specify the delimiter you want to split based on in Delimiters section, and you can preview the strings are split by the specified delimiter. In our case, we check the Comma only, and we can preview each string is split into three columns. See screenshot:
4. Click Next to go to the last step of the wizard, and select a destination range for the output contents. See screenshot:
5. Click Finish, and now every string has been split into three column cells by comma. See screenshot:

1. Select the cells you want to separate, and click Kutools > Text > Split Cells. See screenshot:
2. In the Split Cells dialog, select the split Type you want first, and then check the separator you need to split cells based on. In our case, we check the Split to Columns in the Type section, check Other and type , into behind box. See screenshot:
3. Then click Ok, and select a cell to place the split cells. See screenshot:
4. Click OK, and now all the strings in each cell have been separated into column cells.
Tip: If you check Split to Rows in the Split Cells dialog, the separated results will be shown as below screenshots:

Supposing you have a list of number strings and you want to split numbers into separate cells as below screenshot shown:
1. Select the number cells and click Kutools > Text > Split Cells.
2. In the Split Cells dialog, check the split Type you need, and then click Specify width option, and type the length you want to split based on into the next textbox. See screenshot:
3. Click Ok and select a destination cell to place the result and click OK, and now each number has been split into cells.
