Please enter this formula: =FLOOR(((YEAR(B2)*12+MONTH(B2))-(YEAR(A2)*12+MONTH(A2)))/3,1) into a blank cell where you want to put the calculate result, and then press Enter key, see screenshot:

Note: In the above formula, A2 is the start date, and B2 is the end date cell, you can change them to your need.

how to display a quarter against a date....eg i get a date from banks, and from that date i build a formula to check which quarter it falls in...what would be the formula

Ik wil een automatische berekening van de geldigheid van overuren.
Concreet betekent dit dat ik in excel de datum van de overuren moet omzetten in het kwartaal waarin ze vallen, en vandaaruit drie kwartalen verder reken tot de uiterste datum wanneer de overuren geldig zijn.
Kan iemand me hiermee helpen?
