 How to find and get the largest value based on multiple criteria in Excel?

In Excel, we can apply the max function to get the largest number as quickly as we can. But, sometimes, you may need to find the largest value based on some criteria, how could you deal with this task in Excel?

Find and get the largest value based on one criterion with array formula

In this example, I will get the largest or second largest or nth largest value based on the product “Apple”, please do as this:

Enter this array formula: =LARGE(IF(A2:A14="Apple",B2:B14),1) into a blank cell where you want to output the result, and then press Ctrl + Shift +Enter keys together, and the largest value based on “Apple” has been extracted, see screenshot:

Note: In the above formula:

A2:A14="Apple": is the criterion that you want to get the largest value based on;

B2:B14: is the column data you want to get the largest value from;

The number 1: indicates that this formula will get the first largest value, if you want to get the second or nth largest value, just change it to 2 or n.

Note: In the above formula:

A2:A14="Apple", B2:B14="West": are the criteria that you want to get the largest value based on;

C2:C14: is the column data you want to get the largest value from;

The number 1: indicates that this formula will get the first largest value, if you want to get the second or nth largest value, just change it to 2 or n.

How can I use the Large-Function wenn having multiple Ranges AND multiple criteria to each Range?
Because "=Large((IF(A1="SW",A2),IF(X10="SW",C3)),2)" does not work.

Is there a way to dynamically calculate 'n'- ie, I want to find the lowest 10% of my values, but the 10% changes based on how many values I have?
