How to merge cells without centering the contents in Excel?

In Excel, when merging two or more cells in Excel, the Merge & Center function can help you. But in sometimes, how can you do if you just want to merge cells but do not center the contents as below screenshot shown? Here, in this tutorial, I introduce the methods on solving this job in Excel.

To merge cell without centering, please do as these:

Select the cells you want to merge, under Home tab, click the arrow next to Merge & Center, select Merge Cells from the drop-down list.

The cells have been merged without centering.

If you want to merge the same content cells without centering, you can apply Kutools for Excel’s Merge Same Cells utility.

After installing Kutools for Excel, please do as below:（Free Download Kutools for Excel Now!)

Select the range of cells you want to merge them by same contents, click Kutools > Range > Merge Same Cells.

Now the same cells in the range have been merged without centering.

Tip: if you want to unmerge the cells, you can apply Kutools for Excel’s Unmerge Cell utility.
