Quickly merge adjacent cells in columns with same data/value in Excel

In Excel, for merging adjacent cells with same data or value in a range, you may need to use the Merge & Center to merge the adjacent cells with same data one by one. But Kutools for Excel’s Merge Same Cells utility can merge all adjacent cells in columns with same data or value with one click.

Click Kutools >> Merge & Split >> Merge Same Cells, see screenshot:

Usage:

1. Select a range that you need to merge the cells with same data.

2. And then apply this utility by clicking Kutools > Merge & Split > Merge Same Cells, and the adjacent cells have the same value will be merged. See screenshots:

Notes:

1. This function supports undo;

2. If you want to unmerge the merged cells and fill down the duplicate data, please click Unmerge Cells & Fill Value feature.
