The problem many of us are trying to solve is to eliminate the fancy fonts that some folks use, as they can be disruptively hard to read. Windows allows you to delete fonts that you don't want to see. The result is that when someone uses a font you don't have, it defaults to the standard font. Go to Control Panel and type in "fonts" and it will bring up the dialog for adding and deleting fonts.

I am trying to set a default font size such that when I open any new email it will have a default font size of fourteen rather than the current default 9 point font. So far I have found lots of ways to configure my stationary, but no one mentions setting defaults for newly opened email.

I'm trying to find a way to change the text style and highlight certain phrases or words in outgoing messages in Cox classic e--mail. Any ideas?

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a user who wants all of his messages in his Inbox, not just any new ones, to show as a darker color than this dark gray that is the default. He thinks it doesn't stand out enough. Does anyone know how to change this?

Tried all of these steps - only the reading pane changes - need the actual message to change.

You are right. I need to change the text color which is in the message BODY. The above settings, change the color of the text in the SUBJECT field.

This works but before you do this you have to change all incoming messages to plain text... This is done in Tools > Trust Center > Email Security > Read as Plain Text - Tick both boxes. Then follow the above.

arial font is installed in Windows Fonts folder. Have had Arial selected for incoming and reading emails, but still a script font displays. Obviously, a font substitution is occurring somewhere, but where? I am sick and tired of having to copy my incoming mail to Word or Wordpad just so I can read them. Any help would be most greatly appreciated!
