How to temporally disable account without deleting in Outlook?
Microsoft Outlook allows you to create multiple email accounts inside. After adding multiple email accounts, there will be multiple inbox folders and Sent Items folders created automatically. Then the Outlook will run very slowly when enabling the Send and Receive function. <h4Temporally disable email account without deleting in Outlook
1. Open the Send/Receive Groups dialog box.
1). In Outlook 2010 and 2013, please click Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups under Send / Receive tab. See screenshot:
2. In the Send/Receive Groups dialog box, please click the Edit button.
3. Then the Send/Receive Settings – All Accounts dialog box pops up. In this dialog box, you need to:
1). Select an email account which you want to temporally disable in the left Accounts pane.
2). Uncheck the Include the selected account in this group box.
3). Click the OK button.
4. When it returns to the Send/Receive Groups dialog box, please click the Close button to close the dialog box.
From now on, the specified email account will be temporally disabled when you start the Send and Receive function in Outlook.
Notes:
1. This method is not applied to the Exchange account.
2. After finishing the setting, Outlook will not receive mail from the account any more, but, it can still send messages from this account.
3. If you want to enable the Send / Receive feature, please check Include the selected account in this group box in the Send/Receive Settings – All Accounts dialog box.
