How to link contacts to appointments in Outlook?
For example, you are processing a team work with several colleagues, and you have made an appointment for the work in Outlook. If associated colleagues can be added and linked into this appointment, it will be quite easy when team work changes and you need to contact your colleagues in future. Actually, Microsoft Outlook supports linking contacts to a certain appointment easily.

Link contacts to a certain appointment in Outlook 2013
In Outlook 2013, the Contact filed is not displaying in the Appointment windows, and you have to show the Contact Filed into Appointment windows before linking contacts to a certain appointment.
Note: You have to close Microsoft Outlook 2013 before the following steps.
Step 1: Press the Win + R keys at the same time to open the Run dialog box, enter the regedit into the Open box, and press the OK button.
Step 2: In the popping up User Account Control dialog box, click the Yes button.
Step 3: In the Registry Editor window,
(1) Find out the Preferences folder with this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Preferences
(2) Right click the Preferences folder, and then click the New > DWORD (32-bit) Value in the right-clicking menu, and then name the new DWORD as ShowContactFieldObsolete.
(3) Double click the new DWORD of ShowContactFieldObsolete to open the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog box, and change the value to 1 in the Value data box, and click the OK button.
(4) Close the Registry Editor window.
Up to now, Start Microsoft Outlook 2013, and you will see the Contact filed at the bottom of Appointment windows.
Step 4: In Outlook, open the appointment that you will link contacts to, and click the Contacts button. See screen shot below:
Step 5: In the coming Select Contacts dialog box, select a contact folder in the Look in box, and select the contacts that you will link to current appointment in the Items box, then click the OK button.
Notes:
(1) Holding the Shift key, you can select multiple adjacent contacts with clicking the first one and the last one;
(2) Holding the Ctrl key, you can select multiple non-adjacent contacts with clicking one by one.
Step 6: Compose current appointment, and click the Save & Close button.
Link contacts to a certain appointment in Outlook 2010
By default, the Contacts Filed is also not showing in Appointment windows in Outlook 2010. And you can show the Contacts Filed and link contacts to a certain appointment as following:
Step 1: Click the File > Options.
Step 2: In the Outlook Options dialog box, click the Contacts in the left bar, then check the option of Show contacts linked to the current item in the Linking group, and click the OK button.
Step 3: Open the specified appointment you will link contacts to, and you can link contacts to it with the same steps we introduced in Outlook 2013.
Link contacts to a certain appointment in Outlook 2007
In Outlook 2007, the following steps will walk you through enabling Contacts filed in Appointment windows, and then link contacts to a specified appointment.
Step 1: Click the Tools > Options.
Step 2: In the Options dialog box, click the Contact Options button on the Preferences tab.
Step 3: In the coming Contact Options dialog box, check the option of Show Contact Linking on all Forms in the Contact Linking section, then click the OK button.
Step 4: Click the OK button to close the Options dialog box.
Step 5: Open the specified appointment you will link contacts to, and you can link contacts to it with the same steps we introduced in Outlook 2013.
