How to switch from offline to online in Outlook?

In Outlook, it is quite easy to switch between offline and online mode. This tutorial will show you the details of how to switch between them.

If there is a Working Offline status showing in your Outlook status bar, it means that the Work Offline feature is turning on.

For switching from offline to online, you need to do as follows.

1. In Outlook 2010 and 2013, click Send / Receive tab, then click the Work Offline button. See screenshot:

In Outlook 2007, please click File > Work Offline.

Then you can see the status is changed in Outlook status bar.

Note: for enabling the Work Offline feature, just highlight it with the above steps.

Can't chnge from offline to online.

Nothing happens when I press the Ofline marking.

I am having the same issue, can't change Working Offline back to online.  i have the latest version of Outlook through Microsoft 365, although when I check Properties, it says it is still Outlook 2016. At any rate, can't get back online.

because I was working on a client PC remotely, The window size wasn't maximized and the "working Offline" button was hidden in preferences section.

I cannot switch Microsoft Outlook online and cannot perform deleting email.

I followed the instruction for Outlook 2013 (hit Send & Receive and then hit the Work Offline button, but it doesn't work. It stays offline! Please help.
