How to find and delete large attachments from emails in Outlook?

This method will guide you to create a custom search folder and list all emails with large attachments. Please follow below steps:

1. On the Mail view, select the email account where you will find emails with large attachments, and click Folder > New Search Folder. See screenshot:

2. In the opening New Search Folder dialog box, please click to select the Create a custom Search Folder option, and then click the Choose button. See screenshot:

3. Now the Custom Search Folder dialog box opens. Please type a name for the new search folder in the Name box, and then click the Criteria button. See screenshot:

4. In the popping out Search Folder Criteria dialog box, please (see screenshot below):
(1) Go to the More Choices tab;
(2) Check the Only items with option, and select one or more attachments from right drop down list;
(3) Select greater than from Size (kilobytes) drop down list, and type the minimum size as you need into right box.

5. Click the OK buttons successively to close all opening dialog boxes.

And now a new search folder is created and added on the Navigation Pane, and it lists all emails with large attachments automatically.

This method will introduce the Attachment Tools to remove large attachments from one email in Outlook. Please do as follows:

1. Create a search folder to list all emails with large attachments by above method.

2. In the search folder, select the email whose large attachments you need to remove, and then select any one of its attachments to activate the Attachments Tools. See screenshot:

3. Now go to the Attachments tab, and then click the Select All button and Remove Attachment button successively.

4. In the popping out Microsoft Outlook dialog box, please click the Remove Attachment button.

large attachments are removed from the selected email.

It will waste of time to remove large attachments from multiple emails one by one. This method will introduce the Detach All (Attachments) feature of Kutools for Outlook to delete large attachments from multiple emails in bulk.

1. Create a search folder to list all emails with large attachments by above method.

2. In the search folder, select emails whose large attachments you need to remove, and click Kutools > Attachment Tools > Detach All. See screenshot:

Notes:
(1) Holding the Ctrl key, you can select multiple nonadjacent emails with clicking them one by one;
(2) Holding the Shift key, you can select multiple adjacent emails with clicking the first one and the last one;
(3) You can also select all emails with clicking any email and then pressing the Ctrl + A keys simultaneously.

3. In the Please select a folder dialog, please specify the destination folder and subfolder style as you need, and click the Ok button. And then click the Yes button in another new popping out dialog.

And now all large attachments are removed and replaced with corresponding hyperlinks in the selected emails. See screenshot:
