=SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT(Register!C2:C100,"mmmm")=B1))

I am using the above formula to count number of events in given month Register!C2:C100 has dates
B1 is cell in another worksheet with month July
The formula returns with 0
I have checked Register!C2:C100 with ISNUMBER and it returns TRUE

Can you please help?
