adding rates from names in a table help!

Hi, I'm trying to add a value in a cell from a list of names and rates. If I type the name in the name column, the rate column will populate with their rate from a list of names and rates I have in a table in another sheet. I hope that makes sense. I'm new to excel unfortunately and I've tried a couple times without success.
