One function that appeals to me is the column & row highlighting in "Reading Layout", however, it is the one button I've seen that is grayed out. No idea why. Excel 2019

Please try to reinstall the software first.
If the problem persists, please try to disable all the other add-ins in your Excel add-ins manager.
Or please try to take some screenshots to demonstrate the issue.
Can this issue be replicated with a new blank workbook?
