Hello!

I would like to create multiple woksheets from a template with corresponding multiple variable data inserted into specific cells of the template - like the mail merge in word, but with excel sheets. Is it possible in Kutools?

Thank you for your answers in advance!

Hello!

I found a workaround for this:

1. You need to have a specific ID for each row in your variable dataset.

2. When you prepare the template excel sheet choose the "Insert workbook information" --> "Worksheet name" to a specific cell (lets say A1)

3. After that you can paste IndexMatch formulas to the variable cells which refers to the sheet name cell (aka the unique ID you gave earlier). Now the IndexMatch will find the corresponding variable data to each individual worksheet.

4. Choose "Create sequence worksheets" --> Sheet names based on: "Data in a range" --> there you can select the unique ID wich will be the sheet name and therefore will be displayed in a cell, ergo the IndexMatch reference will find the corresponding data.

5. You need to save the output file, close and reopen it.

6. Success - you generated separate excel sheets with variable data from a template
