excel freeze executing macro

Hello. Is there a way to tell excel via vba to close current tab when closing workbooks with a macro. I have a macro that opens a series of workbooks and then close so a spreadsheet can update. Excel hangs upon the close event because of the warning "Close All" or "Close Current".
