Sometimes, you may want to convert the cell contents to comments or the comment contents to cell contents, or sometimes, you may want to insert the cell contents to comments or the comment contents to the cell. In Excel, no direct way to achieve these operations. But the Convert Comment and Cell function in Kutools for Excel can quickly achieve these operations.

Convert cell contents to comments
1. Active the worksheet and select the range you want to convert the cell contents to comments.
2. Click Kutools > More > Convert Comment and Cell and check Convert content of cells into comments in the Convert Comment and Cell dialog. See screenshot:
3. Click OK. And the cell contents have been converted to their comments. See screenshots:

Convert comments to cell contents
1. Active the worksheet and select the range you want to convert comments to the cell contents. Please make sure that there are comments in the active worksheet before you apply Convert Comment and Cell function.
2. Click Kutools > More > Convert Comment and Cell and check Convert Comments into content of cells in the Convert Comment and Cell dialog. See screenshot:
3. Click OK. And the comments have been converted to their cell contents. See screenshots:

Insert cell contents to comments
1. Active the worksheet and select the range you want to insert the cell contents to comments. Please make sure that there are comments in the active worksheet before you apply Convert Comment and Cell function.
2. Click Kutools > More > Convert Comment and Cell and check Insert content of cell into comment in the Convert Comment and Cell dialog. See screenshot:
3. Click OK. And the cell contents have been inserted to comments. See screenshots:

Note: If you check Insert text before option, the contents of cell will be added in the front of the comment contents. See screenshot:
