Quickly find duplicate or unique cells/rows in a range in Excel

If you have multiple rows of data in your worksheet, and some of them are duplicate items, how could you find and select the duplicate rows? And how could you find the duplicate cells or unique cells in range? Maybe there are some formulas can solve the jobs, but they must be complex. Here, with the Kutools for Excel's Select Duplicate & Unique Cells utility, you can quickly select the duplicate records or unique rows/cells in the selected range, and add fill color or font color for these duplicate/unique rows/cells.

Click Kutools >> Select >> Select Duplicate & Unique Cells. See screenshots:

If you want to highlight the duplicate or unique rows in a range, please do as these:

1. Select the range cells that you want to find and highlight the duplicate or unique rows, then click Kutools > Select > Select Duplicate & Unique Cells.

Or you can apply the utility firstly then click selection button   to select the range.

2. In the Select Duplicate & Unique Cells dialog, check Each row option in the Based on section, then choose one option in the Rule section as you need.

If you want to highlight the matched rows, you can check Fill backcolor or Fill font color checkboxes and choose one color to outstand the rows.

3. Click OK, A dialog pops out to tell you the number of matched rows, click OK.

Then the matched rows have been selected and highlighted.

If you want to highlight the duplicate or unique cells in a range, please do as these:

1. Select the range cells that you want to find and highlight the duplicate or unique cells, then click Kutools > Select > Select Duplicate & Unique Cells.

Then the matched cells have been selected and highlighted.

Notes:

1. If you check Select entire rows option, the entire duplicate or unique rows will be selected.

2. If you check Case sensitive option in the dialog box, the duplicate or unique values will be identified case sensitive.
