Quickly highlight all formula cells with color in Excel

Formulas are very useful for Excel users, sometimes, you may want to highlight all formula cells so that you can easily view them with a glance. If you have Kutools for Excel, with its Design View utility, you can highlight all the formulas cells in the current workbook with one click.

Usage

1. Open the workbook which you want to highlight the formulas.

2. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools Plus > Design View, and a new Kutools Design tab will be displayed in the ribbon, then click Highlight Formulas option in the View group, see screenshot:

3. And all the formulas cells in the current workbook have been highlighted at once.

Notes:

• Notification when no matching formulas are found
  If the current worksheet does not contain any formulas, Kutools will display a reminder message instead of silently doing nothing. This helps confirm that the feature is enabled and informs you that newly added formulas will be highlighted automatically.

  

• Automatic scrolling to hidden highlighted ranges
  If highlighted formula cells are located outside the visible area of the worksheet, Kutools will automatically scroll the sheet to bring the highlighted range into view.
• Toggle the feature on or off
  Clicking Highlight Formulas again will turn the feature off and remove all formula highlights from the worksheet.
• Available only in Design View
  The Highlight Formulas feature works only when Design View is enabled. If you exit Design View, all formula highlighting will be automatically disabled.
• Customize highlight colors
  To change the highlight color, click Settings on the Kutools Design tab. In the Design Tools Settings dialog box, you can customize the colors used for highlighting locked ranges, hidden formulas, formulas, and named ranges.
