With the Number Systems Conversion utility of Kutools for Excel, it is easy to convert between different number systems without using any formulas. For example, you can easily convert binary to hex, octal to decimal, decimal to hex, ascii to hex and so on with only several clicks in Excel.

Convert binary to hex or vice versa without using formula
For converting binary to hex, you need to do as follows.
1. Select the range with binary values you need to convert to hex, and then apply the utility by clicking Kutools > Conversion > Number Systems Conversion.
2. In the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box, please select Binary in the first Conversion type box, select Hexadecimal in the second box, and then click the OK button. See screenshot:
Note: For converting hex to binary, please exchange the options by just clicking button as above screenshot shown.
3. Then a Kutools for Excel dialog box pops up to tell you how many cells have been converted, please click the OK button.
Now all binary values in selected range are converted to hex immediately as below screenshot shown.
Convert octal to decimal or vice versa without using formula
Also, you can easily convert octal to decimal or vice versa with this utility.
1. Select the range with octal values you need to convert to decimal, and then apply the utility by clicking Kutools > Conversion > Number Systems Conversion.
2. In the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box, please select Octal in the first Conversion type box, select Decimal in the second box, and then click the OK button. See screenshot:
Note: For converting decimal to octal, please exchange the options in the Number Systems Conversion dialog as you need.
3. Then a Kutools for Excel dialog box pops up to tell you how many cells have been converted, please click the OK button.
You can see all octal values in selected range are converted to decimal immediately. See screenshot:
Convert decimal to hex or vice versa without using formula
This section is talking about converting decimal to hex or vice versa with the Number Systems Conversion utility of Kutools for Excel.
1. Select the range with decimal values you need to convert to hex, and then click Kutools > Conversion > Number Systems Conversion to apply the utility.
2. In the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box, please select Decimal in the first Conversion type box, select Hexadecimal in the second box, and then click the OK button. See screenshot:
Note: For converting hex to decimal, you need to select Hexadecimal in the first Conversion type box, and select Decimal in the second box. Or just click button to exchange the options.
3. Then a Kutools for Excel dialog box pops up to tell you how many cells have been converted, please click the OK button.
Then all decimal values in selected range are converted to hex as below screenshot shown.
Convert ascii to hex or vice versa without using formula
For converting ascii character to hex or vice versa, please do as follows.
1. Select the range with ascii characters you need to convert to hex, then click Kutools > Conversion > Number Systems Conversion to apply the utility.
2. In the Conversion of Number Systems dialog box, please select ASCII Characters in the first Conversion type box, select Hexadecimal in the second box, and then click the OK button. See screenshot:
Note: For converting hex to decimal, please select Hexadecimal in the first Conversion type box, and select ASCII Characters in the second box.
3. Then a Kutools for Excel dialog box pops up to tell you how many cells have been converted, please click the OK button.
Now all ascii characters in selected range are converted to hex. See screenshot:
