Quickly unmerge cells and fill down values in Excel

Supposing you have a worksheet with some merged cells, and now you need to unmerge the merged cells and auto-fill down each unmerged cell with the corresponding values of merged cell. If you use the Unmerge Cells from Merge & Center to unmerge cells in Excel, you can only unmerge cells without filling down the duplicate value in the unmerge cells. With Kutools for Excel’s Unmerge Cells & Fill Value feature, you can easily unmerge cell and fill down duplicate value in each unmerge cell with one click.

Click Kutools > Merge & Split > Unmerge Cells & Fill Value. See screenshot:

Usage:

1. Select a range that you want to unmerge cell and auto-fill down duplicate values.

2. Apply the utility by clicking Kutools > Merge & Split > Unmerge Cells & Fill Value, and all of the merged cells have been unmerged and fill with the duplicate contents as well. See screenshots:

Notes:

1. This function supports undo (Ctrl +Z).

2. You can merge the adjacent same cells with Merge Same Cells function.
