Quickly statistic and count emails/items in Outlook
Kutools for Outlook
For counting the total number of received emails on a specific date in Outlook, normally you can search by the date and get the total number at the Status bar. However, it seems hard to count received emails per day in bulk. Here, Kutools for Outlook releases the Statistics feature, which can help you not only count received emails per day/week/month, count selected emails, count items in all folders, but also report all counting results in charts.
Count total number of received emails per day/week/month

Count total number of received emails per day/week/month
For counting the total number of received emails per day/week/month, please apply the Statistics feature as follows:

1. Click Kutools Plus > Statistics to open the Statistic dialog box. See screenshot:
2. In the Statistic dialog box, check Inbox from the accounts, or you just need to select Inbox option from the Outlook Folders drop down list, and go to right senction to set the Statistic period (date range and time range), click the OK button. See screenshots:
3. Now in the second Statistics dialog box, the summery report is displayed at default in Statistic window, click the Days of Week or Days of Month at the tab bar, the chart will display the total numbers of emails received per day in recent two weeks/months. See screenshots:
Count total number of selected emails/items
For counting the total number of selected emails or items, please apply the Statistics feature as follows:
1. Select multiple items you will count.
Tip: You can select multiple inconsecutive items by holding the Ctrl key and selecting them one by one. Or select multiple consecutive items at the same time by holding the Shift key and clicking the first item and the last one.
2. Click Kutools Plus > Statistics to open the Statistic dialog box.
3. Please click the OK button directly in the opening Statistic dialog box.
And now you will get the total number of selected items at the top of the second Statistic dialog box. See screenshot:
Count total number of items in all folders
For counting the total number of items in all folders, please apply the Statistics feature as follows:
1. Click Kutools Plus > Statistics to open the Statistic dialog box. See screenshot:
2. Now the first Statistic dialog box pops out, choose All Folders from the drop down list of Outlook Folders or click All to select all folders, click the OK button to continue.
Note: If you need to count the total number of items in all folders of one email account, you just need to check that account address.
Then the second Statistic dialog box comes out, and you will get the total number of items in all folders of all email accounts (or the specified email account) at the top. See screenshot:
Note:You can export the count results to an Excel file or HTML file as you need, please do as this:
1. In the Statistics dialog box, click Export Report, see screenshot:
2. In the popped out Save Report dialog box, type a name for this report into the File name text box, and then choose file format you want to save from the Save as type drop down list, see screenshot:
3. Then click Save button, all the data will be save as the file format as you need, see screenshot:
Note: You also can count items by category by checking Emails only with specified category in first one Statistic dialog, then choose the category from list.
