Multi-Email Recall: Taking Back Sent Messages in Outlook

Have you ever hastily sent an email only to realize you've forgotten an attachment or included incorrect information? While Outlook does allow you to recall sent emails individually, imagine the convenience of recalling multiple emails at once! Kutools for Outlook provides a changing feature – Recall Email. After downloading Kutools for Outlook, please apply the Recall Email feature by following steps below:

Step 1: Select sent emails you want to recall

Go to the Sent Items folder, select the emails you want to recall.

Hold Shift key to select the multiple consecutive messages.
Hold Ctrl key to select multiple nonconsecutive messages

Step 2: Navigate to Kutools tab and select Recall Email

Result

The Result of Attempting to Recall Email dialog appears, displaying the success or failure of each recall command attempt. In the Attempt to Recall Email column, a tick mark indicates the recall command for the respective email was sent successfully; while a cross signifies a failed attempt.

Effects after sending the recalling commands

After sending the recalling commands, Microsoft will automatically generate a report for each recalled email to tell you if it was successful or not.

If you are using an exchange account, the report message is shown below, you can directly know if the recall is success or not.

If you are using an Office 365 account, the report message is shown below:

Click on View Message Recall Report within the report message. This action will open a website prompting you to log into your Office 365 account. After logging in, you'll be presented with a Message Recall Status Report. You can switch between the Recalled, Pending, and Failed tabs to view the recall results.
