Quickly select all short paragraphs in Word
Kutools for Word
There is no feature for you to quickly select all paragraphs which are containing less than specific number of characters in Word, such as to quickly select all paragraphs which are containing less than 30 characters. Kutools for Word’s Select Shorter Paragraphs utility can select all short paragraphs which contain less than specific number of characters from whole document or a part of the document.

Click Kutools > Paragraphs > Select Shorter Paragraphs. See screenshot:

If you want to quickly select all paragraphs which contain less than specific number of characters from a document as shown in the below screenshot, you can get it done as follows:
1. Firstly, you could define the short paragraph by clicking Kutools > Options button as shown in the below screenshot. In the Options window, you can clarify a paragraph which contains less than how many characters will be identifying as short paragraph. Under the Shorter Paragraph, please specify the number of characters, and then click OK.

2. And then apply the utility by clicking Kutools > Paragraphs > Select Shorter Paragraphs.
3. A Kutools for Word dialog box pops up to remind you how many shorter paragraphs are selected, please click OK to close it.
Then all shorter paragraphs are selected as the below screenshots shown.

Select all short paragraphs from a part of the document
If you only want to select all short paragraphs from a part of the document, you can get it done as follows:
1. Please select a part of the document first, and then apply the utility by clicking Kutools > Paragraphs > Select Shorter Paragraphs.
2. Then a Kutools for Word dialog box pops up to tell you how many shorter paragraphs are selected, click OK to close it.
Then shorter paragraphs in selected range are selected at once as the below screenshots shown:
