Author: Tech Support Last Modified: 2017-05-18

With Office Tab, you can quickly close all open documents at once by right-clicking on a tab or the tab bar.

Supposing you have multiple documents in Word application as shown in the below screenshot, you can quickly close all documents in Word as follows.

Method A: Please right-clicking on a tab or the tab bar, and then choose the Close All command item from the pop-up menu. This method can be applied for Word 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016 if you have installed Office Tab.

Method B: You can also quickly close all documents by closing Close button (X) to close all documents and exist Word applications. This method can be applied for Word 2003, 2007, 2010,2013 and 2016 if you have installed Office Tab. But for Word 2013, you have to disable the Multi-window mode option in the Tabs for Word Options first, otherwise you can only close one document at a time by clicking the Close button (X).

It will pop-up a window as shown in the below screenshot if you have checked Warning me when close all tabs option in the Tabs for Word Options.

You can access the Tabs for Word Options by clicking Options Center in the Office Tab as shown in the below screenshot.
