Hi, Olivia, in this article, it just takes the second page as example for viewing the result clearly. You can place the cursor at anyone page you want to change its orientation, then use above method, it does no need any previous blank page .

Useless on Word2010. Page break does jack shit. The change of orientation still affects the entire document.

This solution causes issues. The key one being that if you use a cover page with a unique header/footer, every time you change page orientation within the document, word will treat the change in orientation as a "Next Page" break and the page will have the header/footer from the cover page (0) yet because of the orientation change, the header/footer are misformatted.

Sure, it's easy enough to force a correct page number, but you can't stop Word from pulling that coverpage header/footer and inserting it in the middle of your doc. Word is just such garbage for reasons like this. Their "solutions" are really hacky workarounds that sorta kinda accomplish what you want, some of the time. Bah! Get LibreOffice.
