Is there a way to toggle officetabs on and off so that you can drag your files to another monitor as needed?

The main reason I need this is in Excel. When I open up a tabbed file in a new window using the right context menu, it opens a new instance of Excel. And then when I copy cells between the two files, it does not copy the comments. Copy comments only works, it appears, when you are in the same Excel instance.

I think what is missing is the ability to open the exact same file in a separate window, so that you have the ability to work on 2 different monitors with the exact same excel file on both.
