OfficeTab: View 2 docs side by side & synchronous scrolling both disabled

I cannot view 2 docs side by side using OfficeTab. The 'View side by side' and 'Synchronous scrolling' is greyed out in Word. I need to view and scroll both documents together in one window for copy-editing purposes
Please help!
