Quickly remove time from date time format permanently in Excel

Quickly remove time from date time format cells

To remove the time from date time format cells, and only leave the date format as following screenshot shown:

After installing Kutools for Excel, please do as follows:

1. Click a blank cell where you want to output the result, and then click Kutools > Formula Helper > Remove time from date, see screenshot:

2. In the Formula Helper dialog box, click shot remove time from date 4 button to select the date time format cells which you want to remove the time, see screenshot:

3. Then click Ok button, the time has been removed and only date is extracted in the selected cell. Then, select the output cell and drag the fill handle to the cells which you want to remove the time from their corresponding cells, and all only dates are extracted, see screenshot:

Note:

You can directly apply this formula =DATE(YEAR(A2),MONTH(A2),DAY(A2)) to remove time and only keep date from the date time format cell.
