How to save received distribution list or contact group in Outlook?
During your work with Outlook, you might receive distribution list or contact group from others. For saving this distribution list into your Outlook contacts folder, what would you do? Save received distribution list or contact group with Copy function
With the Copy function, you can easily save the received distribution list to contacts folder.
1. Click to display the received email with distribution list in the Reading Pane which you want to save in the contacts folder.
2. Then right click the distribution list and click Copy in the right-clicking menu. See screenshot:
3. Get into the contacts folder which you want to save the distribution list. Then press the Ctrl + V keys to paste the selected distribution list.
Then the received distribution list is saved in the specified Contacts folder.
Note: If the received contact group is in the Rich Text format email, you need to double click to open the message first, and then copy and paste it.
Save received distribution list or contact group with dragging
Besides the above method, you can save received distribution list to contacts folder by directly dragging the group to the Contacts in the Navigation Pane.
1. Click to display the received email with distribution list in the Reading Pane which you want to save in the contacts folder.
2. Click on the distribution list, then drag it to the Contacts section in the Navigation Pane. See screenshot:
After dragging, the distribution list will be saved to the default contacts folder in Outlook.
Easily add contact group members from emails' senders or recipients in Outlook
