Supposing the start date is 2015/3/25, the end date is 2015/10/26, and you need to know how many weekends in this period. Please do as follows:

1. Please select a blank cell to use the formula, and click Kutools > Formula Helper > Formula Helper. See screenshot:

2. In the opening Formula Helper dialog box, please:

• In the Choose a formula box, find and select Number of non-working days between two dates;
  Tips: You can check the Filter box, enter certain word into the text box to filter the formula quickly.
• Click the Browse button  in the Start Date box to select the start date cell;
• Click the Browse button  in the End Date box to select the end date cell.

Note: You can type the start date or end date directly such as “2015/3/25” and “2015/10/26” separately into the Start Date and End Date boxes.

2. In the opening Formula Helper dialog box, please:

• In the Choose a formula box, find and select Count the number of specific weekday;

• Click the Browse button  in the Start Date box to specify the start date cell;
• Click the Browse button  in the End Date box to specify the end date cell;
• Type one number between 1 and 7 to specify the certain weekday in the Weekday box.

Tips:

(1) You can type in the start date or end date directly as “2015/3/25”.

(2) 1 indicates Sunday, 2-6 means from Monday to Friday, and 7 means Saturday. In our case, we want to count the number of Sunday; therefore we type 1 into the Weekday box.
