Quickly find specific text strings only in the comments in Excel

The Find function in Excel helps users to find specific value in comments within selection, active sheet or the whole workbook. 1. Click Kutools > Find > Super Find. See screenshot:

2. Then the Super Find pane is opening and listing on the right side of the worksheet. You need to:

2.1) Click button to enable the Find in Comments option;

2.2) Specify the finding range from the Within drop-down list. Here we provide five options which include Selection, Active sheet, Selected worksheets, Active workbook as well as All workbooks in the Within drop-down. You can select any one as you need.

2.3) Select Text contains option from the Type drop-down list.

2.4) Enter the text you will find in comments into the Value text box.

2.5) Click the Find button to start finding cells. See screenshot:

3. Now all matched cells are found out and listed in the Result box of the Super Find pane. You can click on the listed cell to select it in the worksheet or click the Select button to select all listed cells at the same time.

2.1) Enable the Find in Comments option by clicking button;

2.2) Specify the finding range from the Within drop-down list.

2.3) Select a length option as you need from the Type drop-down list.

2.4) Enter the text length number into the Value text box.

Now all matched cells are listed in the Super Find pane. You can click the listed result to shift to that cell immediately.

2.1) Enable the Find in Comments option by clicking button;

2.2) Specify the finding range from the Within drop-down list.

2.3) Select Text begins with or Text ends with from the Type drop-down list.

2.4) Enter the text or character into the Value text box.

2.5) Click the Find button. See screenshot:

3. Now all cells which the comment starts or ends with certain text or character are listed in the Super Find pane. You can click the listed result to shift to that cell immediately.

1. This Super Find feature allows you to find specific text among text strings, comments, formulas and hyperlinks at the same time in Excel. See screenshot:

2. The Select button will turn to gray if the Selected worksheets, Active workbook or All workbooks option has been selected in the Within drop-down list.
