If you need to make a link to current workbook file, or to make a copy of the file path of active workbook, you many need to use the window explorer to search for the exact file folder which the workbook stays in. But with Kutools for Excel's Copy Full Path utility, you can quickly copy the workbook file path and then inserting it into a cell in Excel.

How to apply the Copy Full Path utility
Click Kutools Plus > Workbook > Copy Full Path. See screenshot:

1. Apply this utility by clicking Kutools Plus> Workbook > Copy Full Path. Note: For a never saved workbook, this utility is not available.
2. The file path of the workbook will be stored in Clipboard, and then you can insert it into cell by pressing Ctrl+V shortcuts. The file path has been inserted into a specified cell. See screenshot:
