Quickly change the shape of comment box in Excel

In a worksheet, we always insert comments to record some important information, and Excel displays comments in a square box normally. If you want to change the shape of the comment boxes, you can change the comment boxes into other shapes with the utility Change Comment Shape of Kutools for Excel. Change Comment Shape supports:

• More than 100 shapes;
• Change all comment boxes with one click;
• Batch change shapes for selected comment boxes quickly;
• Apply different shapes for different comment boxes.

 Change all comment boxes with one click in Excel

The Change Comment Shape utility can help you change shapes of all comment boxes with only one click in Excel.

1. Click Kutools > More > Change Comment Shape. See screenshots:

2. Select one shape you like in the Select shape box, and click Apply All button.

Now all of the comment boxes have been changed. See screenshot:

Note: Apply All will apply the shape you have selected for all comment boxes of the whole workbook.

 Batch change shapes for selected comment boxes quickly

This utility can also help you batch change shapes for selected comment boxes quickly.

1. Click Kutools > More > Change Comment Shape. See screenshots:

2. In the Comments list box, select the comments you want to batch change shapes of comment boxes.

Tip: Holding Shift key, you can select multiple adjacent comments with clicking the first one and the last one; holding Ctrl key, you can select multiple non-adjacent comments with clicking each comment one by one.

3. In the Select shape box, specify a shape you want to apply, and click the Apply button. Now you will see all selected comment boxes are batch changed to the specified shape at once.

 Apply different shapes to different comment boxes

If you want to apply different shapes to different comment boxes, please select a comment in the comments list first, and then choose the shapes you like for the comment. You can repeat the same steps to apply different shapes to other comment boxes, when all the comment boxes have been changed, please click Close. See screenshots:

Notes:

If the Show Comments option is checked in Change Comment Shape dialog, when you select a comment in the Comment list, the cursor will jump to the comment cell in worksheet at once.
