How to split the total payment across months in Excel?

Sometimes, we have a total amount needed to be distributed to a certain number of months averagely from a specific started month, in this case, you can use a formula to quickly calculate the average number in Excel as below screenshot shown:

Click at the start cell of the range which is below the first month number, type this formula

=($B1/$B3)*AND(D1>=$B2,D1<$B3+$B2)

B1 is the amount cell, B3 is the mount number, B2 is the start month, D1 is the first mount in month range.

Press Enter key and drag the auto fill handle over all month cells. Now the payments each month needed to be distributed have been displayed.

But in this way you have the total split in 7 months instead of 6, including the starting month. How can we avoid this?

Thanks for your remind, I have update the formula, remove the second equal sign like this:=($B1/$B3)*AND(D1>=$B2,D1<$B3+$B2)
