How to quickly insert file path into Excel?

Insert full path of the current file with Document Location
With this way, you can display the file path of the current file in your toolbar, and then copy it when you need it. Please do as follows:
1. Go to File, and click Options from the left pane.
2. In the Excel Options dialog box:
- Click Quick Access Toolbar option;
- Then choose All Commands from the Choose commands from drop down list;
- And select Document Location, then click Add > > button, the Document Location has been added to the right pane. See screenshot:
3. Click OK. And the full path of the current file will display on the left of the ribbon. See screenshot:
3. Then you can copy it to the place you need.

Copy the formula and paste into an empty cell:
=LEFT(CELL("filename"),FIND("[",CELL("filename"),1)-1)

2. Then in the popping dialog, check Workbook path and Range options, see screenshot:
Tip: If you want to insert the file information into header or footer, you can check Header or Footer option, and then specify put the information at left or right or center.
3. Click Ok. Then the workbook information you check has been inserted.
