Quickly import or export and set default custom dictionary in word
If you have a custom dictionary which contains a lot of specialized technical terms, foreign words or alternative spelling of some words you often use in Microsoft Word, but you change computers, or you use more than one computer. You need to transfer your custom dictionaries to another computer. First of all, you should export/import custom dictionaries. Normally, it will take a few steps to export / import custom dictionaries. But with Kutool for Word's Import / Export Custom Dictionary utility, you can quickly export the custom dictionary of Word from a computer and then import it in another computer.

Quickly export custom dictionary
Please open the Microsoft Word after installing the Kutools for Word, and then apply the utility by clicking Click Enterprise >> Export / Import >> Custom Dictionaries to export the custom dictionary. See screenshot:

Please checked the custom dictionary which you want to export, and then cliking Export button and specify a folder to export the custom dictionary. You will see the exported custom dictionary as shown in the below screenshot.

Tip: Please transfer the custom dictionary to the computer which you want to import to.
Quickly import custom dictionary
If you have already exported the custom dictionary from Word by using the Kutools for Word's Custom Dictionaries utility, you can apply the utility by clicking Click Enterprise >> Export / Import >> Custom Dictionaries to import the custom dictionary. See screenshot:

Please clik Import button to import the custom dictionary. You will see the imported custom dictionary as shown in the below screenshot.

Tip: Since you have more than one custom dictionary after importing the custom dictionary, you may need to set one of the custom dictionary as the default custom dictionary in Word.
Note: Please don't delete the custom dictionary after importing it into your Word, you should keep the custom dictionary file in the folder.

Please apply the utility by clicking Click Enterprise >> Export / Import >> Custom Dictionaries to set one of the custom dictionaries as default custom dictionary. See screenshot:

Please click the custom dictionary which you want to set as the default custom dictionary, and then clicking Active button. This icon
indicates this custom dictionary has been set as default custom dictionary.
