Quickly add thousands separator for multiple numbers in a Word document

Supposing, there are multiple numbers in your Word document which need to insert comma as a thousand separator, such as convert 1234567 to 1,234,567 format. There is no direct way for you to add the thousand separator in multiple numbers at once except inserting the comma one by one. But, with Kutools for Word’s Add Thousand Separator utility, you can insert the thousand separator to multiple numbers with only one click.

Please apply the Add Thousand Separator feature as this:

1. Select the content that contains the numbers you want to add thousand separator.

2. Then, click Kutools > Add Thousand Separator, see screenshot:

3. And then, a Kutools for Word prompt box is popped out to remind you the thousand separators have been inserted into the selected numbers immediately, see screenshot:

Note: If you want to add the thousand separator for all numbers within the whole document, please don’t select any text, and then apply this feature by clicking Kutools > Add Thousand Separator, and in the popped out dialog box, please click Yes button, and all numbers within the whole document will be formatted as thousand separator numbers.
