Easily export selected ranges/pages to a new file in Word

In Word, you can export an entire document as a PDF, plain text, or other file types. However, if you need to export only specific ranges or pages, there’s no built-in feature to accomplish this. Fortunately, Kutools for Word’s Export Range to File utility allows you to effortlessly export selected content as a new Word, PDF, Text, HTML, or other file types.

Export Selected Ranges or Pages to a New File

1. Open your Word document, and then select the specific range or pages that you wish to export.

2. Click Kutools Plus > More > Export Range to File.

3. In the Export Range to File dialog, configure as follows:

(1): Choose a folder location for the exported file.

(2): Select the file format (e.g., Word Document, PDF, Text, HTML) under the File Type section.

(3): Configure additional export options in the File Options section as needed.

(4): Optionally, check Open the file after exporting if you want the new file to open automatically after exporting.

4. Click OK to continue.

5. In the popping-out Kutools for Word dialog box, enter a name for the exported file and then click OK.

✨ Result: The selected ranges or pages have been successfully exported to the file you specified. If you checked the option Open the file after exporting, the new file will automatically open once the export completes.
