How to quickly split Outlook pst file by year?
As we know, the .PST file can help you recover Outlook data in other computers. But for years, the PST file will grow bigger and bigger which will speed down your Outlook running. Now I introduce a method to split the Outlook PST file by year, and then you can remove the early file as you need.
Split PST file by year
Please do as below to split PST file into years.
1. Click File > Info, and into right section, click Cleanup Tools > Archive.
2. In the Archive dialog,
check Archive this folder and all subfolders option first,
and select one account or one folder you need to archive in the list box,
in the Archive items older than section, select 1/1/year, if you want to archive data early than 2016, you can choose 1/1/2016,
check Include items with “Do not AutoArchive” checked,
last, to select a folder to place the archive file.
3. Click OK. A PST file which include data early than 1/1/2016 has been created, just rename it as 2015.
