How to convert Outlook contacts to Vcard in Outlook?
While it's straightforward to display contacts as business cards in Outlook by selecting Change View > Business Card from the View tab, you might wonder if you can convert these contacts into independent vCard files. The answer is yes! This guide will show you a simple method to save your Microsoft Outlook contacts as vCard files, making it easier to share them across different platforms and devices.
- Automate emailing with Auto CC/BCC, Auto Forward by rules; send Auto Reply (Out of Office) without requiring an exchange server...
- Get reminders like BCC Warning when replying to all while you're in the BCC list, and Remind When Missing Attachments for forgotten attachments...
- Improve email efficiency with Reply (All) With Attachments, Auto Add Greeting or Date & Time into Signature or Subject, Reply Multiple Emails...
- Streamline emailing with Recall Emails, Attachment Tools (Compress All, Auto Save All...), Remove Duplicates, and Quick Report...
Step 1: Shift to the Contact view by clicking the Contact in the Navigation Pane.
Step 2: Select the contacts that you will convert to a Vcard file.
- To select multiple consecutive contacts, please hold the Shift key and click the first contact and the last one.
- To select multiple inconsecutive contacts, please hold the Ctrl key and click each contact that you will convert to a Vcard file.
Step 3: Forward contacts as business cards:
Click the Forward Contact > As a Business Card in the Share group on the Home tab.
Step 4: In the Message window, please select a Vcard file in the Attached: box.
Step 5: Right-click the selected attachment, and select Save As in the right-clicking menu.
Step 6: In the Save Attachment dialog box, you can do as follows.
1) Open a folder in which you will save these Vcard files.
2) Change the name of the Vcard file in the File name: box if you need to.
3) Keep the vCard File in the Save as type: box.
4) Click the Save Button.
There is an alternative method to save multiple Vcard files: In Step 5, right-click the selected file, click Select All in the right-clicking menu, and then drag all selected files into the folder that you opened in Windows Explorer.
