How to hide appointments and events from To-Do Bar in Outlook?

By default, the appointments, day events which you have created in the Calendar will be listed in the Appointments section of the To-Do Bar in Outlook. Sometimes, you may feel annoying and don’t want to see the whole list of them. Now, you can manually hide them from the To-Do Bar. Please follow the above tutorial to hide the appointments and events.

If you are using the Outlook 2007/2010, you can hide the appointment and day events from the To-Do-Bar as following methods:

Method 1:

1. Click View > To-Do-Bar > Appointments (in Outlook 2007) to remove the check mark before the Appointments item , see screenshot:

In Outlook 2010, go to View tab, and then click To-Do Bar > Appointments. See screenshot:

2. And the appointments and day events have been hidden from the To-Do-Bar.

Note: To display these appointments, go to View > To-Do-Bar > Appointments to check the Appointments option.

Method 2:

1. Besides the above method, you can hide the appointments and events by clicking To-Do Bar > Options under View tab. See screenshot:

2. In the To-Do Bar Options dialog:

If you uncheck the Show Appointments box, the Appointments section will be closed with the appointments and events in the To-Do Bar.

And if you keep the Show Appointments box checked and then uncheck the Show All Day Events box, all the appointments and day events will be hidden in Outlook 2010.

3. Then click OK button.

Different with Outlook 2010/2007, in Outlook 2013, you need to hide all appointments and day events by hiding the whole Calendar section.

1. Click To-Do Bar > Calendar under View tab to uncheck the Calendar option.

2. Then the whole Calendar section has been hidden. See screenshots:

Note: If you want to show the Calendar section, check the Calendar.
