Outlook: How to add a return link in E-mail?
Sometimes, you may want the receivers not to reply to the sending email address but to a specific email address. To handle this job, this tutorial introduces the method of inserting a return link in the body in Outlook. which will open a blank message window with the reply to address, and you can add the return link to a text or a picture.
Note: The methods provided in the tutorial are operated in Outlook 2021, if you are in other versions, there may be some differences in steps.
Add a return link in email
To add a link to a specific text in the email, please follow the below steps:
1. Enable a new message box, and after editing the contents of the message, please enter the text that contains the return link.
2. Then select the text you want to add the return link to, click Insert tab, then go to Links group to click Link.
3. In the Insert Hyperlink dialog, if you want to change the display text (the text you have selected), you can re-edit it in the Text to display input box, then type the return address into the E-mail address input box, or you can select the address from the list of the Recently used e-mail addresses, also you can specify the subject in the Subject input box. Click OK.
If you need it, click ScreenTip to edit the hyperlink screen tip.
Now you can send the email. And when the receiver clicks the text that contains the return link, a new message window pops out with the return address in the To field, and the subject in the Subject line.
If you want to embed the return link to a picture, please insert a picture, then repeat the above steps 2-3 to add the return address.
