How to use calendar board view to organize your work in Outlook?
Outlook on the web lets you organize tasks, notes, files, and more in a Kanban board that’s tied to your main Outlook calendar. With the board view, you can see your schedule, notes, uncompleted tasks, goals with a due date, essential files, and more at a glance.
2. Shift to the Calendar view. And then on the upper-right corner of the page, click on the drop-down button that displays your current calendar view, and select Board from the drop-down menu.
Once you opened the Outlook calendar board, you will see the default items including your calendar, events or holidays, tasks, etc. on the board as shown below.
Add more items on Outlook calendar board
To add more items on the board, please click on Add to board and then select an item from the list. Note that you can select Show all to see the full list of items you can add as shown below.
Remove unwanted items from Outlook calendar board
To remove an unwanted item from the Outlook calendar board, click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the unwanted item, and then select Remove from board.
Outlook on the web allows you to customize the appearance of the items on the calendar board, such as to change an item’s background color, or enlarge or shrink the item’s size. Please do as follows.
Change item’s background color
Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the item whose color you want to change, and then click Change color and select the color you want.
Resize an item
To resize an item’s card, you can click the three-dot icon on the upper-right of the card and select Resize from the drop-down menu, and then move the pointer to a corner or edge of the card until it changes to a double-ended arrow, and drag a corner or edge inward or outward to the size you want. Alternatively, you can directly move the pointer to a corner or edge. Then click-and-hold and drag outward or inward to enlarge or shrink the card’s size as shown below.
Once you’ve finished adding and removing items, and customizing their appearance, you can organize all the items on your calendar board the way you want. Note that the board is infinite so that you can navigate the view of the board by clicking-and-holding an area of the board that is empty and then dragging the board.

For example, you’d like to have your tasks, goals with due dates and a note with important information to go to the rightmost side of the board, you can hold and drag the board to the right to show the left empty area. Then select the multiple items by holding the Ctrl key, and then drag them to the leftmost area as shown below.

You can also group the related items together with the collection widget by clicking on Add to board > Collection. After adding a collection widget on the board, you can name the collection, and drag other items into it. The collection will expand as you add items.
Create additional Outlook calendar boards
To create additional calendar boards, please click on the board name in the upper-right corner of the Outlook page (it might be Board, Day, Work week, Week, or Month depending on your current calendar view), and then click on the drop-down arrow besides Board, and then select New board.
Rename or delete an Outlook calendar board
To rename or delete a board, please click on the board name in the upper-right corner of the Outlook page (it might be Board, Day, Work week, Week, or Month depending on your current calendar view), and then hover the pointer over the name of the board you want to rename or delete, click on the pencil icon to rename the board, or the trash icon to delete it.
